As a Kingston Wedding Photographer, Chris and Holly’s Wedding was another chance to strap my photography equipment to the bike and cycle the 1.5km to Chris’s home where the groom and grooms men were all… playing video games. After a little pre warning that the wedding was in a couple hours they soon started ironing and sorting out their shirts!
Brunch was served and the remaining parts of their suits put on. Then most of them headed to Christ Church on Surbiton Hill. This gave me a chance to pay Holly’s house a visit where her 6 bridesmaids and 2 flower girls were all helping each other get ready and also having a bite to eat.
Once we had mastered the art of sticking fake eye lashes to eye lids (this involved everyone taking part, including me) we spent around half an hour in the garden taking photos. The sun had come out by this point and it was a great start to a wonderful day! When everyone was about to leave there was the sweetest surprise outside. Holly’s parents had organised a horse and carriage to take her to the church which she had no idea about. I absolutely love capturing moments like this.
Once everyone had congregated inside the service began and Chis and Holly were officially married! The register was signed and everyone was very very happy…
The reception was to take place in the same church so to make time for the tables to be prepared we walked to the local park and did group shots of everyone.
And then a few more arty farty ones…
The afternoon quickly went by and everyone was having a lovely time. There was an ice cream van which all the guests seemed to LOVE. Especially the children!… A hog roast in the garden and the biggest chocolate cake I’ve ever seen.
In the evening the church hall was turned into a glorious disco and the guest kept on celebrating till quite late!
